TULUM
Tulum is one of the most beautiful and visited Mayan cities throughout Mexico. Part of its charm lies in its location, just across the sea on a cliff from which you can admire in all their splendor the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. At this location combine history, culture and one of the best beaches in all of Mexico. The only archaeological site located by the sea is also the location that most deserves to be photographed throughout the region and perhaps in all of Mexico. Every Sunday the Mexican tourists presenting a valid ID have free access to the site; if you prefer to avoid confusion, however, on Tuesday morning it is the day for you. In the south of the archaeological site are one of the quieter beaches of the Riviera: you will not find hotel of 500 rooms or large structures; on the contrary, you can rent simple bungalows or luxury according to your wishes and your budget. Tulum is about 70 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen; you can reach it easily by car or with one of the bus lines that connect Playa and Tulum with more daily departures. In the archaeological area, do not miss "El Castillo", the most impressive building of Tulum because of its size and its location. Inside are the remains of frescoes, which are unfortunately not accessible to the public. Do not forget then the Templo del Dios Descendendente, the Templo de los Frescos and of course the beach, reached by a staircase that goes down the cliff. Tulum è una delle città maya più belle e visitate di tutto il Messico. Parte del suo fascino risiede nella sua ubicazione, proprio di fronte al mare, su una scogliera dalla quale si possono ammirare in tutto il loro splendore le acque turchesi del Mar dei Caraibi.
In questa località si uniscono storia, cultura e una delle migliori spiagge di tutto il Messico. Nella parte sud del sito archeologico troviamo una delle spiagge più tranquille di tutta la riviera: qui non troverete hotel da 500 stanze né grandi strutture; al contrario, potrete affittare bungalow semplici o di lusso in base ai vostri desideri e alle vostre tasche. Tulum è a circa 70 chilometri a sud di Playa del Carmen; potete raggiungerla facilmente in automobile o con una delle linee di autobus che collegano Playa e Tulum con più corse al giorno.
Nella zona archeologica, non perdetevi "El Castillo", l'edificio più impressionante di Tulum per via della sua mole e della sua posizione. Al suo interno si trovano resti di alcuni affreschi, oggi purtroppo non accessibili al pubblico. Non dimenticatevi poi il Templo del Dios Descendendente, il Templo de los Frescos e, naturalmente, la spiaggia, che potrete raggiungere grazie a una scalinata che scende lungo la scogliera.
Il primo evento importante che si celebra nel corso dell'anno è un piccolo Carnevale che si festeggia alcuni giorni prima della Quaresima. Dopo, e più precisamente durante il mese di luglio, si tiene il particolarissimo Festejo de la Cruz Parlante, che riunisce elementi pagani e messicani. L'evento più famoso e popolare, comunque, è il Festival de la Tortuga Marina, ovvero il Festival della Tartaruga Marina, che si celebra dal 2003. Vi partecipano le comunità di tutta la Rivera Maya e di Cancún e comprende attività come gare d'aquiloni e di castelli di sabbia, corsi sulla pulizia della spiaggia, sull'ecologia e sulla liberazione dei piccoli di tartaruga.
Per raggiungere Tulum prendete la carretera numero 307 fino al km 182, dove dovrete imboccare la deviazione per Boca Paila. L'entrata del parco è a circa un chilometro. ( By visitmexico)

Dall'alto potrete ammirare la bellezza naturale del parco, per poi terminare il vostro percorso tuffandovi nell'acqua cristallina dei cenotes. Potrete poi guidare un veicolo anfibio lungo percorsi che vanno dai due ai cinque chilometri e che attraversano sentieri selvatici, grotte e caverne, sfidando il livello dell'acqua e facendovi sorprendere dalle antichissime formazioni rocciose di questa zona. Este es un excelente lugar si que quieres es experimentar un Cenote sin mucha gente. Lleva tu propio equipo, chaleco salvavidas, un visor y las aletas ya que no hay aún mucha infraestructura. Es un lugar “rústico” y en desarrollo, pero lo el cenote es lo mejor. Dirección: km 15, de la Ruta de los Cenotes, muy cerca de Puerto Morelos.
CENOTE AZUL:
El cenote azul es otro pequeño paraíso, para llegar puedes alquilar un taxi desde Playa del Carmen. La entrada queda a un kilómetro aproximadamente del Hotel Barcelo por la carretera federal. Es un buen lugar para zambullirse, nadar y envolverse en la selva verde que lo rodea. Hay un restaurante, tiendas de artesanías y baños.
CENOTE EN AKTUN CHEN:
Cenote Aktun Chen, se encuentra ubicado en la Carretera Federal 307, Km 107 entre Akumal y Xel-Ha, se trata de un parque temático, cavernas y cenote que se puede visitar con toda la familia. Hay servicios, guias y tirolesas.
